Hot off the amazing performance of my composition “Flashlight”, commissioned by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, now it’s time for everyone to get stoked about the slightly louder side of my compositional output:

20 person jazz-metal freak-show Space Elevator’s debut album is available now courtesy of the good people at Redshift Records

Composer, Performer, Producer

Described by Discorder Magazine as a “compositional tour-de-force”, Mike WT Allen is a composer, performer, and bandleader based out of Vancouver, Canada.

As a composer with credits including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Redshift Music, Hard Rubber Orchestra, award winning films, as well as his own projects, Mike has an ear open to everything from jazz to metal to hip hop to classical and everything in between.

As a performer Mike has toured internationally, headlined festival stages to thousands of people, and played in a hair salon twice. Whether he’s playing free-jazz bass saxophone, keyboards in a hiphop jam, or sweet instrumental songs on clarinet, Mike is constantly looking for new ways to explore music across a wide variety of instruments and styles.
